The knish was brought to America by European immigrants who arrived sometime around 1900.  The first knish bakery in America was founded in New York in 1910.

Originally the Knish was a lunch staple, easily carried it satisfied hungry immigrant workers who snapped them up at bakeries and delis.  It quickly became popular at Coney Island during the summers months and news of this hand held goodness spread across the country

Now Chef Rick Tarantino, Research and Celebrity Chef has brought this Coney Island treat direct to you using original recipe that you are sure to love.  Each Knish is carefully made at Paolo & Pablo the Chefs Kitchens, a premier food manufacturer located in Hauppauge, Long Island.

Our new 12,000 SQFT facility is certified Kosher by KOF-K.   Joshua’s Best Knish is made with all natural fresh potatoes wrapped in our signature dough which is mixed fresh daily.  Our potatoes are grown in the USA. The New York Coney Island Potato Knish is flash fried to form a crispy outer texture which encrusts the tasty potato filling. You will taste the difference with Joshua’s Best Authentic Knish.
